Ebay has announced that its director of customer operations for the UK and Ireland, Siobhán Curtin, is to be the tech giant’s new site lead in Ireland.
The company employs 900 people at its European headquarters in Blanchardstown, Dublin, and remotely across Ireland.
Kildare native Curtin, who started at the company in 2004 as a customer services representative, will also be responsible for the cross-functional teams and departments supporting local and global eBay programmes.
During her 17 years at the company, Curtin has worked in key leadership and customer-focused roles in Ireland and abroad, most recently serving as director of UK & Ireland customer operations.
Derek Allgood, Vice President of eBay, said: “Siobhán has had a tremendously positive impact on eBay’s business as well as the teams she leads and works with in Ireland and overseas. Her experience, integrity and motivational qualities are widely recognized throughout the company and make her an outstanding candidate for the position of Site Manager for eBay Ireland.
From Co Kildare but living in Navan in Co Meath, Ms Curtin will be responsible for the cross-functional teams and departments supporting both local and global eBay programmes.
She holds diplomas and BA degrees from Ballyfermot College of Further Education and the National College of Ireland.
As part of her new role, Curtin will work closely with the company's diversity, equity and inclusion team as well as its Changemakers team, which encourages social entrepreneurship in local communities across the country.
