The Tower of Christ. One of Istanbul's most fascinating monuments, Galata Tower was built in the 14th century by the Genoese in Istanbul. Galata Tower is where Hezarfen Ahmed Celebi flew from. He was the first man ever to fly using wings.

Basilica Cistern was built by an order from Empire Justanian in 532 as a project of rebuilding the city after Constantinople was destroyed by Nika riots, and historical fact say that it is the largest surviving cistern in Istanbul with 138 m in length and 65 m in width covering an area of almost one thousands meters and has the ability to store up to 80 thousands cubic meters of water which is considered a huge number at that time.

Today, Suleymaniye Mosque is one of the most popular religious sights located in the historical old peninsula in Istanbul. Don't forget to visit the tombs of Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent and his favorite wife Hurrem Sultan which are located next to the mosque.

Dolmabahçe Palace became Atatürk's Presidential Palace upon the declaration of the Republic. It has a very significant place for the Turkish nation as it was built during the Ottoman era and later became the Presidential Palace. It was unfortunately also the place where Atatürk died on November 10th, 1938.

Besides its importance as the first Turkish museum, it remains one of the world's largest museums with over one million works. Opened to the public in 1891, it houses a collection of Greek, Roman and Byzantine artifacts.

The Chora Mosque (Kariye Camii) is renowned worldwide for its well-preserved mosaics and frescoes. It presents important and beautiful examples of East Roman painting in its last period.

It served as a center of religious, political, and artistic life for the Byzantine world and has provided us with many useful scholarly insights into the period. It was also an important site of Muslim worship after Sultan Mehmed II conquered Constantinople in 1453 and designated the structure a mosque.
